School News

Dear Families,

I realized just yesterday that I am getting old. I tried to teach my high school son a lesson on the basketball court and can now no longer stand up straight. Aging brings with it a bit more perspective. I still refuse to call myself old and will quote Henry Ford by saying, “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” As we face closures throughout our district and community, please use that perspective and stay as safe as possible. While students are home, I worry about the “summer slump” students go through when they are not exposed to learning opportunities. We will come back to school at some point. What will our students be prepared for upon return? The high school has compiled some valuable sites that can be used to supplement our students educational opportunities when they are away from the building. As a former English teacher, please read a book!

We understand that our situation is not ideal, but we must try to endure and learn throughout! Please watch for updates through OSPI and the Prosser School District webpage.
Sincerely,

Bryan Bailey
