GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

 

 

Seniors, are putting together a slideshow for our senior luncheon.  If you have any photos from kindergarten up to now, email them to phs2018photos@gmail.com

 

Seniors, deadline for our Class Graduation Song is February 28th.  Submit your song suggestion in a box located on Mrs. Ledesma’s desk in the Counseling Office.

 

Wrestlers, your pictures are in, pick them up at the attendance office.

 

Wednesday’s wishes included a large Pepperoni pizza, flowers for a mom, cheesecake for a staff member, tacos, a crown, a cupcake, and some pencils.  Get ready for some great surprises at Friday’s Wish Assembly!

 

In need of community service hours????  There is an opportunity for you this Tuesday and Wednesday!! Come to the ASB window for more info.

 

Mandatory Special Need Prom Meeting Wednesday the 21st in the White Church at 2:00 with Mrs. Karen Hall.  If you cannot make it please see Mrs. Hall.

 

Camp Wooten Counselor Applications are available in the counseling department.  Applications are due by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Drama Club students – Here are some upcoming deadlines:

  • Forms completed for drama letters – March 31st

  • ValTAF registration packets are now available. They are due back completed and with payment by February 28th

Mark your calendars –

  • Blue Ribbon Scholarships – Deadline is April 15.  Go to http://www.thefair.com/foundation/projects-and-programs/scholarships to apply.

  • CBC will be doing an application workshop on February 26th starting 10:00 am.  If you would like help with your application to CBC please come to the counseling office and sign up.

  • Health Science Career Day - EWU/WSU Spokane Campus – Friday, March 2, 2018 – 9 to 2 p.m.  Register on-line at www.ewu.edu/spring2018HSCD

  • Sophomores, juniors, and undecided seniors the Washington Council's College Planning Day provides a one-stop opportunity for you to learn about Washington State's higher education options.  We will be providing a bus on March 13th to WSU Tri-cities for students interested in this opportunity.  If you are interested, please sign up in the counseling office by February 20th.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Cushing.

  • Charter College is having a High School Night March 6th from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

  • Tri-Tech Commitment Letter and Applications are available in the counseling department.  Letter/Application is due on Tuesday, March 15.

  • Project Hope - Paid Summer Internships – Apply at www.ewu.edu/projecthope/apply - deadline to apply is March 15.

  • 2018 Quality Communities Scholarship Program – Applications in counseling department.  Deadline February 23.

  • Washington State Opportunity Scholarship – Accepting applications until February 28, 2018.

  • George Washington Foundation Scholarship Application is open.  Deadline is March 1, 2018.

  • Washington Apple Education Foundation – apply at www.waef.org – deadline March 1

  • Kelley Foundation Of Washington Scholarship – deadline March 10

  • Washington State School Retirees’ Association  - apply at www.wssra.org – deadline March 2

  • Scholarships for Graduates of PHS – Blue Mountain Scholarship Foundation is currently taking applications for some of our local scholarships.  Go to www.bluemountainfoundation.org to apply.  Deadline is March 5, 2018.

  • Soroptimist – Best for Women accepting applications for $1,250 scholarship for girls.  Deadline is March 15, 2018.

  • Horse Heaven Round-up Scholarship – applications accepted until Thursday, March 15, 2018.

  • Auxiliary Health Career Scholarships – 2018/19 – applications accepted until Friday, March 30, 2018.

  • Jack Quinn Memorial Scholarship is open.  Applications are due March 31, 2018.

Two Washington high school seniors will be selected from the applicant pool to receive a scholarship to exchange ideas with scientists and other professionals from the academic and corporate worlds. Application materials are available on the NYSC website at http://apply.nysc.org and must be submitted by February 28, 2018.
